R60 after. ♦ Doors open at 9pm sharp. ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ SIGMA BIOGRAPHY ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ SIGMA has been making their presence felt on the DRUM & BASS scene since 2007 with early releases such as the seminal “ALL BLUE” on DJ ZINC’s BINGO imprint (one of DRUM & BASS ARENA’s most downloaded tracks ever) and massive hits like “PAINT IT BLACK” and “EL PRESIDENTE VIP”. From there everything soared as the duo kicked off 2010 with a collaboration with ADAM F and hip hop legend REDMAN on the massive “SHUT THE LIGHTS OFF”, which was followed by their debut release for BREAKBEAT KAOS… The “STAND TALL EP” consists of four tracks, all marked with SIGMA quality. From the dancefloor stylings of ORIGINAL SIN’s remix of “FRONT TO BACK” and the brain-thumping anthem “THE JUNGLE” to the more melodic vibes on “BALTIMORE” and the vocodered vocals on “STRONGER” this EP covers all bases. Confirmation of this is shown by the fact that three of the EPs four tracks feature on the MINISTRY OF SOUND compilation CD entitled “MIXED… BY DJ FRICTION”, along with a re-edit of “PAINT IT BLACK”. To add to all of this is the exciting collaboration with BREAKBEAT KAOS head honcho and DRUM & BASS legend DJ FRESH on “CYLON” and “LASSITUDE”, both of which feature on DJ FRESH’s “KRYPTONITE” album and sees regular support from the likes of ANDY C and GOLDIE. Aside from consistently touring the globe, some of their recent highlights include a featured minimix for ANNIE MAC on BBC RADIO ONE (squeezing in 35 TRACKS IN 5 MINUTES) as well as remix work for renowned artists such as ERIC PRYDZ, TOP CAT, McLEAN, MS DYNAMITE, SKEPTA, DANNY BYRD and DUCK SAUCE (their BARBRA STREISAND remix reaching over 1,3 MILLION views and counting). SIGMA now embark on their first ever tour of SOUTH AFRICA with shows in JOHANNESBURG, DURBAN and of course… CAPE TOWN.
