Open World is a short EP I decided to make.

Each song has a kind of history.

Why Open World?

I love relating songs to areas. When you hear the song name, it should kind of relate
to a specific area + it sounds cool. :P

--Meadow--

This song was the last one I made. After hearing some new drum&bass I decided to try again.
During the song, it came to feel more as ambient d&b. I slowed the tempo down, making it
more ambient.

--Open World--

I made this a long time ago (before any of the previous songs).
Once again it started as a venture into drum&bass and eventually turned into this.
Love it a lot! Probably the best song to transpose to a "live band" setting.

--Maelstrom--

The first song I specifically tried to design around a name. It didn't quite turn out
as I expected. I first thought this song wasn't quite up to par, but repeated listens made
it kewler.

I was listening to the Knife a lot when I made this, hence some similar sounding sounds.

--Dry Suburban--

With this I had no inspiration, I just jumped in FL Studio and went crazy!
I like this song a lot. The song feels "Dry" (especially in the 2nd part) and the suburban comes from the drum-beat.
It feels like a kwaito drumbeat (in fact the working title was "kwaito").

--Crag--

Probably the best song I have ever made. I was into d&b at the time! It IS awesome.

So well-produced. Every piece fits in perfectly. GO CRAZY!

--Murmur Plains--

The core melody of this song I have been singing for ages. Strangely enough it came to me
when I decided to harmonise with the lawnmower while I was uhhh... mowing the lawn.

This song is back to form to The Distance Chasse kinda songs. Ambient ftw.

Basically share it and go crazy, but you are in no way allowed to make money off it!
