Our regular readers may have noticed that things have been slow of late. This is not due to a lack of content, we’ve actually got a bit of a backlog going on here at ET HQ, but the real world is keeping us much busier than foreseen. No matter, after some reshuffling and what not, we should be back to business as usual…

Anyway, back to the music. Our dutch buddy Don Diablo is releasing his latest project, Monster EP, on May 8th via Beatport and iTunes. Together with Sidney Sampson he has produced 2 “monster tracks”.

Our favourite Dutch dude Don Diablo is getting ready to release a digital E.P. at the end of November and an album (Life is a Festival) soon thereafter. As a taste of things to come, we have been sent the track ‘Never Too Late’, a remix by Mason and a fun little bootleg of his track ‘Too Cool for School’ called ‘Too Cool for Amsterdam Bitch’ by Hugo van Dyck! Not only that but you can get a free, digital copy of his album 6 weeks prior to its release. All you gotta do is visit www.dondiablo.com/freestuff! I may be wrong but it seems that ‘Never Too Late’ was released back in 2006 in the Netherlands as ‘Never Too Late (to Die)’ along with the Mason and Jark Prongo remixes to be featured on the E.P. Either way grab the tracks below!

‘Never too Late’ is a very dance-rock  influenced track that features funky guitar stabs, with deep pads and vocals reminding us that it’s never too late (to do a whole bunch of things).

The Mason remix takes the track towards a more electro direction, with a fidgety synth in the front and some killer drum-programming, that make this track that much more fun(ky). This one should work really well on the dancefloor.

Amsterdam’s Don Diablo has nearly finished his debut album and some killer tunes will not make the final cut! ”Get On The Floor’ is one of those tracks… Don: “Some great songs just didn’t fit with the rest of the sound, but that doesn’t mean it has to end up in my private collection!” Don recorded this song with the same guys that featured on his club smash ‘Blow’ from a while back and it’s really a feel good summer party tune, if we may say so!

A kind man from Muzikology B.V. sent me this awesome pre-release. Dutch producer Don Diablo teams up with UK rapper Example for this one, set to be released soon (on 29 June 2009 I believe)! Here’s what the press release had to say:

Don Diablo and Example team up for their joint effort “Hooligans”, which is set to become the mosh pit anthem of 2009! On remix duties: Noisia, Spor, A1 Bassline, Doorly and the main man Don Diablo himself. Make sure you grab your copy of “Aerodynamic Hooligans” as well, which is a mash-up Don Diablo did of his Hooligans track with elements of Daft Punk’s “Aerodynamic” and yes, you know it will work like a MoFo on the floor!
